14 January 2014 - Taylor Davis demonstrated that old 'Dunkirk Spirit' and successfully survived a day in the office without power.

A major upgrade to the electric power supply in the area meant that we lost our electric from 10:00 through to 18:35.

However, using a 6KVA diesel generator rented from a local hire company, we managed to keep the phones, the server and most of the computers running all day, even if it meant we ended up working by torchlight.

Not so much 'keeping the lights on' but keeping the server, computers and phone system on instead. We should have remembered to have some candles!
