Bookkeeper
A Colchester based accountancy practice is seeking the appointment of a bookkeeper to join the business on a permanent basis.
You will ideally have at least 2 years experience in a practice environment and be looking for a fresh challenge. Excellent Excel skills are essential, as is the ability to provide accurate, robust and reliable information which is consistent across the business
The Role
- Invoicing and assisting with credit control
- Bank reconciliations
- Assisting clients with their queries
- Assisting with management accounts
- Creating running and analysing reports
- Preparing VAT returns
- Processing payroll and other journals
- Providing accounting and clerical support
- Preparation of Profit & Loss accounts and balance sheets
- Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments
- Preparation and submission of clients monthly/quarterly VAT
Experience Required
- A minimum of 2 years accountancy practice experience
- Familiar with Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, Receipt Bank and Kashflow
- Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with authorities and clients
- Proactive, confident and professional in all aspects of your work
- Superior organisational skills and absolute attention to detail
- AAT qualified or ACCA part qualified
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
