Bookkeepers - Full-time and part-time positions
A modern Colchester based accountancy practice is looking for two all round book-keepers to join the team on a permanent basis. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, with the possibility of flexible and school friendly hours.
Ideally, you will have at least 2 years’ experience in a practice environment. You will need strong Excel skills and attention to detail, and be a good team player. Experience of Sage would be preferred.
The Role
- Working for a lot of different industries, making the role interesting and varied.
- Knowledge of the construction industry scheme would be helpful.
- Dealing with incomplete records.
- Bank, purchase ledger and sales ledgers reconciliations.
- Payroll journals and control account reconciliations.
- Maintaining fixed asset registers.
- Preparing VAT returns for review.
- Processing payroll.
Experience Required
- Ideally, a minimum of 2 years accountancy practice experience.
- Familiarity with Sage is preferred, but QuickBooks, Xero, Receipt Bank and Kashflow will be considered.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with authorities and clients.
