We trekked 26 miles round London for Alzheimer's

The team at Taylor Davis has seen the devastation that Alzheimers can bring to both it's victims and the family and friends around them. Susan Bloomfield, Judy and Adele's sister suffered from a very aggresive form of Alzheimers for a number of years, sadly losing her fight in December 2023. We undertook this challenge for Susan and all other sufferers of Alzheimers and Dementia in general.
It was a chilly and early start to the day, crossing the starting line at 6:10am on Saturday morning. We had to wear headsphones (silent disco style) for the safety talk and count-down due to Lambeth Council noise controls. Temperatures did rise through the day getting to a very warm, almost 20 degrees.

Our overall pace was 22-23 minutes per mile. This was pretty good really given the number of tourists and cyclists we had to overtake, dodge and avoid on the way, elbows at the ready. There were so many people on Tower Bridge and the South Bank enjoying the hot and sunny afternoon.
We finally, and triumphantly, crossed the finishing line at 4:01pm, having been on the go for 9 hours and 50 minutes. We obviously had to enjoy some of the bubbly afterwards, it would have been rude to have refused.
Thank you to everyone that has supported and encouraged us. Really appreciated.
